About me
My name is Julie Hallett. I have been a professional artist for over 20 years.
I’m a completely self-taught artist and I started my career by selling my own artwork and also trained as a professional antique print water-colourist. I have restored and coloured antique steel, copperplate, and woodcut prints for print dealers all over the world.
A few years ago, I started to get requests to draw and paint commissions from photos and, since then, I have enjoyed painting and drawing pet portraits and scenes for people all over the country. I work from photos and am happy to talk through any requirements.
I also offer children's workshops and classes in my studio in Arborfield Green in order to inspire and enhance every student’s creative spark and spirit. My classes build confidence using 2D and 3D media in a warm and friendly environment, where everyone learns new techniques and are proud of their work. Please look at my Art Classes website
